This was the best show yet... being my third "at bats" as well.
Once again, Back Porch Mary were there to rock a kick ass set in front of us.
The guys in this band are all great musicians and great people... tonight, I can honestyle say I got to know them each a little more.
Thanks goes out to all that were there to enjoy the show.
Of all things, my drum throne broke on like the fourth or fivth song in the set... I was then forced to keep my balance throughout the remainder of the set... wow, what a trip!
I enjoyed playing a brand new tune, "You Call It Trouble"... first time ever for Bleu and the band.
    The new album rocks!
After tonight, I think the fans are ready for it as well!
Not much longer... until the release date.

Dr. Zog performed this evening, one last time, at The Old Alligator Grill on South Lamar in South Austin.
Scott Hartzog, Scott Chester, Gary "Pepe" Melancon and Gary Feist and I were all there to rock the night!
This was a special night for myself since everyone was sending me off!... on tour with Bleu.
It was nice having many childhood friends in the house... the P.A. way!
It amazes me that we have all stayed in touch throughout the years.
Everyone of you are true and special to me... you know who you are.
I wish the best for Zog and his entourage!
I hope many of the others out there wake up and take the time to enjoy the Zydeco!
    I truly did!
    Thank you Dr. Zog.

Todd Phelps performed a short set this early evening at the Club of Sonterra in San Antonio.
This was a charity event / golf tournament for Fisher House at Fort Sam Houston.
Personally, I am opposed to war.
    Love is the answer!
However, I will play music for soldiers... anywhere... anytime!
    Soldiers have my upmost respect!
It's their lives that are at stake on the front line while I safely sit behind a drumset onstage.
That said... I had a great time playing music with Todd, Todd and Dave.
It was also great being able to spend time with family.

It is always a treat to watch and see other drummers do it as well... especially at music festivals like this one.
It was nice meeting many of the other drummers.
I had a great time rocking out today with the heat and all!
    Yea Baby!

Parkers Break performed today on the campus, at the foot of the Tower, of the University of Texas for 40 Acres Fest.
Charlie Lang, Errol Siegel, Jason Bryl and I were there to kick off the musical entertainment on this gorgeous day.
We enjoyed performing a full set of tunes on this huge stage.
Built on the stairs of the main building that houses the infamous Tower, it was a view to sit there and look out over the main mall towards the Capital building and the rest of Austin.
Thanks goes out to all of the girls that helped me with my gear... smart and beautiful roadies... gotta love it!
The Foundation followed with a great soulful set of tunes.
Mike & Ike then rapped for the growing crowd.
Rachel Loy then hit the stage with her smooth vocals and awesome bass playing for a great set of tunes.
Little Richard then hit the stage to bring back the oldies!
What a trip to see this legend still up there rocking out on the piano that he bitched about all night long... you think he would have a few pianos by now... still rocking in his 70's!
    Wow!
What a great day of fun!

Parkers Break performed this evening for the showcase at Fuel during the Heart of Texas Rock Fest.
Charlie Lang, Errol Siegel, Jason Bryl and I were there to play the six songs that are on the newly released E.P. C.D. entitled "Autumn".
This showcase turned out to be a great performance in spite of the issues we had before hitting the stage.
I guess that is what happens with a festival like this... oh well...
The highlight of my evening was watching the band before us... Rubber Monster...
    Wow!
These kids, all teenagers, were a treat to watch... what spirit they have... and man, do they rock!
Thanks goes out to Pushmonkey for loaning me the gear I needed to complete a drumset that was not supplied by the festival.
It was also cool hanging out with my childhood friends in the band Podunk.
This evening was a great time... a great way to cap off the SXSW weekend.

Bletzung followed our set with a short sweet set of original rocking music.
It was then time for the headliner of the evening.... the Robert Cray Band.
I ran into many friends throughout the day.
It was great chatting and spending a little time with each one of them.
I had a great time rocking out and hanging out today.
My lips did get wind chapped from being upthere onstage on this windy day.

This is the first of many Tuesdays to come in the near future.
This may have been the best show ever for Dr. Zog and the band.
It was great seeing so many friends that were there to have a great time rocking with us.

It was nice seeing many friends throughout the evening.
Thanks goes out to Drew, Jack, Juan and many others that were there to support the band.
The beer was flowing and I was drinking my fair share just to keep myself numb to the cold chill that was coming up my back the entire evening on this patio.
